I like the modern look of my beacons site, especially on my phone. In fact, I think that’s the idea, it’s set up with phone use in mind. It’s great to design your website on the go just using your phone. No more having to pull out that laptop and find the space and internet connection to do the work, you can do it right from your phone.
Of course you can access your site on any of those fine platforms from your phone, but it isn’t easy to do any major tweaks to your site. Not as easy as it is with Beacons. And that makes sense, since Beacons limits what you can add. I will say this, as much as I want to gripe about that, I just can’t.
People choose to either gripe about 250 characters not being enough to make a clear point, or they rise to the challenge and become better communicators, learning how to say more with less words. Some speak more effectively and efficiently, sum dnt.
It’s like that with having limited space for your website(s).
Right now, I see Beacons as a great website builder to streamline the main ideas of a bigger site, or, in my case, site(s). I’m a multi-niche blogger and have a few projects that I tend to, streamlining is good for folks like me.
Is it all too good to be true though?
Maybe. What do I know? I haven’t used it long enough to warrant paying the $10.00 (USD) monthly fee to upgrade for access to design more than two pages. You see, for $10.00/month, I get five pages.
I’ve attempted to send my Beacons link as well and more often than not it doesn’t go to MY site, it re-directs to the Beacons site.
Like I said, I haven’t really given it much of a chance and it’s likely I could have used the available free space on those initial two free pages more efficiently. In fact, I will attempt to do just that. In the meantime, this is just a hello and a first impression.
Have a glorious day!
