Leaf Blower Culture
Today I watched the lawn people again.
They came to take care of the lawns around the church next door.
They come every Friday, They mow the lawn. They trim the hedges. One of them walks around with a leaf blower.
I watch them and the people in the apartments next to the church. On Fridays the church people blow the leaves through the fence to the apartment complex, On Tuesdays the apartment people blow the leaves right back, They blow them from side to side.
They also blow dirt around and during the last fire, they blew ashes around for some reason, right into windows.
They sure do like those leaf blowers.
I equate those leaf blowers to current culture.
It blows hard but doesn't do anything productive.
It's a useless piece of equipment Just like so many people's arguments have become useless.
They're based on a different truth than the real truth.
They're loud and pollute the air with noise
And nothing is getting done.
Everyone's just making a lot of racket,
Too lazy to be productive,
Too loud to be heard.
