The geaux.codes Independent Web Dev Newsletter is my weekly newsletter for all the cool things that are happening around the web that I think other web developers would find useful or fun. I am a forever student of the internet, psychology, and economics - an even bigger reading nerd so I spend a lot of time researching and reading useful things that can keep my attention. My favorite stack has become the Jamstack - but my very first tech stacks I learned were MEAN/MERN. A lot of people have been giving me a hard time about the Jamstack which I don’t understand or really care anyways because it is the most indie and sick way to create cool websites.
Why should you subscribe to my newsletter you’re probably asking? Well I spend a lot of time each day looking through the deep corners of the web to find awesome full-stack developer resources - I don’t think a lot of people have the time or the desire to do what I do. I love finding cool things on the internet and I also love writing! I really hope that you can find at least one awesome thing from my newsletter - knowing that other people find cool stuff that I found is a fulfilling venture.
I am still early enough in my Web Dev career where I am learning a lot and have a fresh experience for more experienced developers, but I’ve also learned ALOT and can offer something to new developers as well.
Here are some of the topics I cover:
-Entrepreneurship and Web Dev
-Awesome Templates (Like have more functionality than just creating a website)
-My adventures with StackBlitzJS and RedwoodJS - and also reading about BisonJS so count that as three start-up frameworks.
-In-depth reviews of CSS frameworks, Static Site Generators, different tech stacks, CMS - both headless and git based, and much more
-Next.JS with MongoDB integration, Supabase, Vercel, Netlify and more
-Exclusive deals that I get for being an affiliate to certain companies.
-Tutorials that I have been working on - both in print and on YouTube
-Early access and deals to my first course that is coming out soon
