I like to imagine how was something 1000 years back. One such idea of prices in Ancient Rome. How were prices of everyday things ? Wages in Rome 301 A.D. Ancient Rome fed mostly on grains and government subsidies. Hard to eat meat for common people. Attorneys and Teachers were paid high. Roman Soldiers are paid quite high in comparison to general laborers.
