Book & Paper Arts Calendar Updates - August 23, 2020
Hello everybody,
Wanted to draw your attention to some fast upcoming workshops from Aug 24 - Sep 2 (please "Upcoming classes" below). Now that we are taking workshops online the calendar will always show Pacific time at the top of the entry and the local time zone shown under the description/Calendar Online. If at all possible I will try to show all time zones under the description/Calendar Online area. I also added a yellow entry for book arts meetings that are open to the public.
Do you know anyone out there who would like to be the next executive director of Arrowmont? Full description here.
Did you watch the launch of Perseverance (and it's helicopter drone, Ingenuity - see below on how to make a paper helicopter) at the end of July? Bill's and my names are on board the rover on 3 thumb nail sized silicon chips along with 10.9 million other names. It'll take about 7 months to get there.
A friend of mine who works for Children's Hospital Los Angeles sent along this excellent mental health resource provided by LA County due to COVID-19 and that one their psychologists recommended it for everyone. Even if you are keeping busy it can still be a little tough, a little scary, a little lonely, a little uncertain, a little isolated. I hope the above resources helps someone out.
Hope you are staying safe and well - Jade

About the calendar
Link to the calendar: https://teamup.com/ksd9e12a80c3878ba5
There is no difference between Calendar 1 (blue entries) and 2 (red entries), just a way to visually separate workshops; orange and light teal (also visual separation) entries are online workshops; light green ones are the latest workshops found since the last email update; purple entries are for festivals or conferences; yellow are public online meetings from various book arts guilds
You can do a search (magnifying glass search button in upper right of screen) by state, town, instructor name, time zone, etc. If it is the calendar you can search on it.
Monthly view is best viewed using a larger monitor with desktop/laptop. To change view look for Scheduler, Day, ... Month ... Agenda, List in upper right corner of screen and click on appropriate view
If using cell, mobile or smart phone change view to List, Day or Agenda view using button with the down arrow in upper right corner of screen
Agenda (list view from current day going forward) or List (list view for current month going forward)
