Book & Paper Arts Calendar Updates - April 30, 2020
Hello everybody,
FOBA is looking for workshop proposals for the June 2021 conference. FOBA (Focus on Book Arts) workshop proposals deadline is May 15, 2020. They welcome offerings for all skill levels in 1, 2 or 3 day workshops and are looking forward to receiving proposals that focus on structure, content, technique, project, etc. Achieving a balance of types of workshops ensures we have something for everyone at the next conference. If you have any questions please contact the workshop chair, Christine Trexel, at workshopchair@focusonbookarts.org. Acceptance letters will be sent by June 30, 2020. Click here for workshop proposal information and form.
I am running a little late with this update. I have been feeling very unmotivated and it has been tough to bring myself to face the laptop and look through emails to send out this update. However I was able to make a birthday card for a friend and for my husband, Bill (even made his favorite baked french toast for brunch). As I was looking through the emails I saved to provide input for this update I noticed an article about visiting pink sand beaches. I have visited black, green and purple sand beaches but never a pink one. We were in Barbados an age ago but did not know about that pink sand beach there. If I could find a paper or book arts workshop in Bermuda and combine this with beach combing I love Bermuda may be our next trip!
Note: If you are interested in any of the workshops after May 1, 2020 listed in the calendar I would suggest you click on the links provided to check if they are still being put on. I will be doing my best to show that workshops are cancelled but there are quite a few of them!
