[AE.NiNoBilMa] There's An Alligator In The House!
Yesterday's octopus game got a better response on Twitter and in my email than the open-ended prompt did, so I'm going to keep going in the same vein. Not sure how often I'll do these, but I think after this one (which I'm cross-posting for notification purposes) I'm going to just post them on Twitter during the day with the #NiNoBilMa tag and then at the end of the week make a single digest post with all of them collected.
Today's #NiNoBilMa game is: There's An Alligator In The House! Anybody who wants a fun creative writing warm-up and mental icebreaker is welcome to participate.
Following these instructions are a set of questions. You can answer them in as little or as much detail as you have: a few words, a complete sentence, a short vignette, a thread. The point here is to warm up the creative muscles and break down inhibitions around creativity and writing.
There's an alligator in the house... and, wait, where'd it go? Oh, no... it's not just an alligator, it's an alligator G-G-HOST!
1. What first made you suspect something was lurking in the house?
2. When did you first see the alligator?
3. How did you find out the alligator was a ghost?
4. How do you suppose the alligator ghost came to be in the house?
5. What's the worst thing about having an alligator ghost in the house?
6. What's an unexpected upside to having an alligator ghost in the house?
7. In the end, how did you decide to handle the whole "house haunted by a ghost alligator" situation?
Bonus: Assemble your answers into a short (possibly very short) story, embellishing and expanding to whatever degree you want.
