Jan 20 '24: We Are All Bloops
Have you ever considered that everything we see around us is More Than One Thing? And also Impossible?
Maybe it's because in the US we're in an election year, when everything gets boiled down to check marks or filled-in little bubbles, but this is on my mind.
(Note: this cartoon is in the big ol Best of Brainwaves Volume One! Along with 400+ others! Isn't that glorious? Get one for you or someone you wanna make smile!)
Good grief, this is the 50th Comic since Sloth and Manatee headed for the moon and... whatever this is! The inter-dimensional bloop is certainly a lot of things at once.
We haven't really discussed whether the inter-dimensional bloop is a mistake, or a natural phenomenon, or what. Is a bloop something that's broken? How would we know? In a way, everything is a bloop. We're all bloops. We're all impossible.
We went to Costco, and there was a man there promoting Costco credit cards. He had this booming voice and wondrous outfit and his pitch even had rhymes in it. He told the story of how his "favorite day of the year" is when people come in and get their Costco credit card rebates. This guy and his outfit and us talking to him were all basically impossible. That was a wonderful bloop. Or wonderful infinite series of bloops, if that's how you look at it.
Speaking of shirts:

I'd love to hear what you think, and I'll be putting up new chapters each week. Wheee!
And remember, we're all impossible so:
OH! I learned of something called Emoji Kitchen where you can mash up emojis and make more emojis and I am having so much fun. Some of the glorious results:
Okay! That's enough impossibility and bloops for now.
May you find yourself at the culmination of infinite impossibility, may you be many things at once, can one of the things you are be my neighbor? -Betsy
